  • “Great Hotel ”
    Orkun A
"The biggest advantage is the location and the price maybe. Between the city center and the railway and central bus station. The hostel has just one shower which might be a problem. I was there in the beggining of March and was a bit cold, there was a small heater in the dorm, it was fine, but in the winter I doubt that it would be enough. Friendly and helpful staff."

  • "Good location and very helpful and friendly staff!"

"We stayed at the Art Hostel in mid-August and found the location very good - perfectly placed on the river, between the main bus station and the centre of the city. It only takes 10mins walking with bags from the station to the hostel so is a good place to stay if you plan on arriving/turning up late at night. Ivana who was running the hostel was very friendly and accommodating when we arrived and gave us good recommendations on activities and places to eat (she even actually ordered our take away for us on the phone from Red Caffe) - make sure you try the Macedonian Pizza! We then found ourselves in a sticky situation when we missed our bus out of the city to Bulgaria, and had nowhere to stay. Thankfully Ivana was so helpful and considerate and allowed us to stay on the hostel sofas when she found out that there were no beds left anywhere else in the city. Without her initiative we would have been in a very difficult situation as we had a lot of expensive videography equipment with us and so sleeping in the bus station would have been a massive risk. If you find yourself stuck in Skopje with nowhere to go then I would definitely recommend going to the Art Hostel!

P.S, if you're planning on taking the bus from Skopje to Sofia, book at least half a day in advance because the bus is tiny and they will all book out quickly!"

  • “The best hostel I´we ever been”
"This hostel is the best choice for everybody who would like to stay several night in Sofia. In the morning you can have good breakfast and cofee or tea. During the day or in the evening you can sit on porch or in the garden and chat with your friends, other travelers or with the owners who are adorable! Owners will always show their non-limited hospitality. We got welcome shot of the best Macedonian rakia and glass of georgeus lokal wine. They don´t hesitate to sit and chat with their guests.
